With WCO7 now in full swing, we went through the hardest phase, getting everyone on the platform. Not everyone is used to Forum Messages as a way of communicating and this caused some delay and other issues in round 1. But we see that it is going much better in round 2. In this Smiling Scout are some tips and tricks to improve the WCO experience and playing on Stratego Online
1 WCO players should have the Classic Icon option in their Settings page. They can enable these to get the Classic Piece Set.
2 The setup time at the moment is lower than most players are used to. We recommend making a Setup (from the Strategies Menu) before playing the game and maybe slightly changing it during the setup phase of the actual game.
3 The Wanted 5 Games team is focussed on improving the platform for all players and is actively making changest to support the WCO. If you encounter an issue while playing Stratego Online, there are support threads in the Stratego Official Discord server. Issues that are reported here are normally picked up quickly for investigation. It helps if you report on which platform you were playing, because the game is available on many devices like Iphone, Android devices and for PC and Mac via the browser.
4 At the start of Season 1, the Stratego Online Leaderboard was activated. It shows the highest ranked 100 players that have played during the season. Every season the rankings will be partly reset. The number of ranks you lose during the season reset depends on your score in the previous season. There is more information about this in the Stratego Official Discord.
5 If you play at Stratego Online using an internet browser, there is a Skull button to open the Graveyard above and under the game board. This helps to keep an easy overview of the current position of the board.
6 Stratego Online supports Draw Requests. If you see a small Flag light up in the top right of the screen, this has to do with Draws.
7 If you click on your username in the Main screen you can see your stats and change your Avatar if you like to.
